Maybe it's just me, but it honestly seems like using Shiny in Python is significantly more work and there's a steeper learning curve than in R. Different py scripts, decorators, and other additions make me question if I want to move to Python for Shiny. Maybe I feel this way because I'm not a great Python programmer, I don't know.

Seems to be outdated

I like shiny for R. It is mature enough to satisfy all your dashboarding needs if you are patient enough. However, I have recently tried to port one of my projects to shiny for python and the experience was awful. The experience in python is so different from what it is in R that you wonder why the shiny team at Posit even bothered to create a python version. Python has so many web frameworks that are mature and have big communities and diverse tooling behind them that it is not possible to compete with them. I was hoping the upside is that it would be a shallow learning curve for us R-shiny users but I found out that's not the case. So, why bother?

Interesting. Just started to research sports analytics and the use of the 'R' language. I just spent a little time on Deep Learning with PyTorch and got a little food image model working. I do a fan football website with some SVG images of plots from a Python app on Colts football. Wanted to level it up and maybe do some projections on Anthony Richardson the new Colts QB in 2024. First model written down the 'Mixed Effects Model'. Thanks for the look.

I can't set up a basic action, regardless of R. It shows green but in my test workflow I try to add everything from data folder, and commit & push to main (instead of master). But the test file is not pushed!
